We are at the end of week three and have gotten to know each other better with each passing minute. Emerson is still being very generous with her 4-5 hour stretches during the night although it is a trade off for very fussy evenings. We've learned to enlist the help of the Baby Bjorn and found that the microwave fan is a miracle worker when trying to settle her down - we just need to figure out how to make the microwave portable!

This week Ray went back to work for a few days and Mom and Emerson were able to hold things together pretty well. Unfortunately, Mom caught a stomach bug later in the week but was fortunate enough to have Emerson's "GG" next door to take over some of the care so Mom could rest.

Emerson is looking forward to her first road trip to Maine this coming weekend to celebrate her cousin Caleb's birthday. Mom and Dad are already starting to pack up half the house in order to make the trip We'll be sure to have some great pictures of Emerson with all her family for the next update.
